Our Programs & Services
At Cottonwood, we understand that recovery looks different for everyone. That's why we offer a comprehensive range of evidence-based treatments designed to meet you wherever you are in your journey.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Our IOP provides structured, evidence-based treatment without disrupting your daily life. You'll attend therapy 9 hours per week (three 3-hour sessions) while continuing to work, go to school, or care for your family.

We offer separate IOP tracks for:
- Substance Use Disorders (SUD) - Address addiction with group therapy, individual counseling, and skill-building focused on achieving and maintaining sobriety.
- Behavioral Health - Intensive support for mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, trauma, and other psychiatric concerns—no substance use issues required.
- Co-Occurring Disorders - Integrated treatment for individuals facing both mental health and substance use challenges.
Our IOP curriculum combines evidence-based therapies with life skills training, relapse prevention, and community support. You'll work with licensed clinicians who understand the complexity of recovery and are committed to your success.
Adolescent Program
(Ages 13-18)
Teenagers face unique challenges, and they deserve specialized care. Our adolescent program provides age-appropriate outpatient counseling and IOP designed specifically for young people.
We address substance use, behavioral health concerns, and co-occurring disorders in a setting where teens feel heard, understood, and empowered to create change. Our clinicians are trained in adolescent development and use approaches that resonate with young people.

Adult Outpatient Services
Sometimes you need ongoing support without the intensity of IOP. Our outpatient counseling offers flexible, individualized therapy for adults 18 and older.
We treat:
- Substance use disorders
- Depression and anxiety
- Trauma and PTSD
- Relationship and family concerns
- Life transitions and stress management
Sessions are scheduled based on your needs and availability. We accept self-referrals, court-mandated clients, and referrals from healthcare providers.
Specialized Treatment Modalities
Our clinicians are trained in evidence-based therapies proven to support lasting recovery:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - Effective treatment for trauma and PTSD
- DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) - Skills-based approach for emotional regulation and distress tolerance
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Address negative thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies

We tailor treatment to your specific needs, combining therapies that will be most effective for your unique situation.
